Wine Club - 2007 Tastings
|
Monday 18th June 2007 Quality New Zealand Wines from Hatch Mansfield presented by Quentin Sadler Hatch Mansfield was founded in 1802, and ownership moved through several hands. It became an independent agency in 1993 when three wine producers - Louis Jadot, Errazuriz and Villa Maria - decided to form their own UK distribution company and bought the rights to the Hatch Mansfield name. Villa Maria is well known to many but the boutique wineries of Vidal Estate and Esk Valley Estate are perhaps less familiar. Together they represent many varied locations around New Zealand and will give us the opportunity to explore the "regionality" (or "terroir" for francophone purists!) that these different soils and mesoclimates offer, both for the white and red varietals. The line-up includes Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and a Bordeaux blend. |
