Paul Mapplebeck passed away on 3rd September 2020. He will be sadly missed.

A chemistry graduate from Wadham College, Oxford, Paul is a retired chemical company executive and business consultant with extensive knowledge of wines. Supported by his wife Joyce, he regularly presents at Central London Wine Society, Charlemagne Wine Club, Welwyn Wine Society, Chalfont and Amersham Wine Club, NatWest Bank Wine Society and Lincoln Wine Society.

Last year, Paul gave presentations to over 20 different wine clubs and societies. He is also known for his interest in wine label collecting

Paul calls on his extensive cellars and contacts to provide fine wine tastings, such the Special monthly tastings at Central London and Grand Cru Suppers (hosted by friends in the Home Counties) for about a dozen people.

Paul runs a tasting of top quality wines most months at the Civil Service Club, 15 Great Scotland Yard in Westminster. Price usually £30. Recent and future tastings include:
