Harrisons

Beaujolais and Mâconnais
presented by aDoug Harrison

Mâconnais and Beujolais are the southernmost regions of Burgundy. As well as dairy produce, Mâcon is known for its chardonnay based white wines. Gamay has been largely replaced by pinot noir grapes. In Beaujolais to the South, the gamay grape rules supreme, producing fresh fruity red wines for easy immdiate drinking. Doug Harrison has made a selection of wines from these neighboring regions, and will also provide a selection of “nibbles” from the delicatessen to accompany these wines.

Harrison's Wine Shop and Delicatessen was established in September 2010 by Belinda Harrison. Located in Pitshanger Lane, they provide the local community with wine and food of exceptional quality and good value. Most of their wines, champagnes and spirits are sourced and imported from small, family run domaines and estates where quality is paramount. All of them are personally tasted and selected by Belinda and her father Doug Harrison.
