Affordable Burgundy presented by Lena Inger

Bordeaux Burgundy produces some of the best wines in the world from the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes but as we all know the wines from the Côte d’Or are not cheap. However, although they don’t have the cachet of Nuits-St-Georges or Beaune, there are communes within areas such as the Côte Chalonnaise and Macon which are still capable of producing quality wines at an affordable price if you know the growers to look for.

Our great friend Lena Inger is a regular presenter at Charlemagne. As a frequent visitor to Burgundy, Lena is well versed in all things Burgundian and will provide us with the knowledge to find the quality at an affordable price. She began teaching people about wine sixteen years ago, and is very happy to be able to say that she still enjoys it. As well as leading tutored tastings, Lena is a judge at the International Wine Challenge, and particularly enjoys acting as a guide for wine tours in Europe.
