Southern Rhône - Value for Money presented by Paul Mapplebeck

Clos des Papes One year ago, Paul Mapplebeck provided for Charlemagne a vertical tasting of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Clos des Papes which lives on in memory. However, the 2007 vintage was excluded as its price had gone above £100/bottle following Robert Parker awarding it 100 points. This time we will have the '07 as part of Paul's hunt for value in the Southern Rhône. Have we ever had a 100 Parker point wine at Charlemagne before - can anyone remember one?

Paul will also finish this outstanding tasting with three vintages of Châteauneuf-du-Pape Vieux Télégraphe back to 1990, demonstrating both the aging and the pricing effect. Despite this star-laden collection, the price of this tasting is still restricted to our standard £19.
