Burgundy Unearthed presented by Christos Ioannou
Burgundy Unearthed - it's all about Terroir! Burgundy commands high prices and the wines sometimes don't live up to their reputation. But quality and value CAN
be found in some less famous villages, and if you know the right growers there are some wonderful wines to be had. Christos has just come back from leading a 6 day tour in Burgundy and will be sharing a few of the gems he discovered there as well as a few photos. There will be a sparkling wine to start followed by 4 whites and 4 reds including wines from Savigny, Pernand Vergelesses, Santenay and Pommard. Christos has been a member of Charlemagne for 15 years and was rash enough to turn a passion into a 2nd career. He is a member of the Association of Wine Educators and of the Circle of Wine Writers, and he has also been a Judge at The International Wine Challenge since 2002. Through his company Criterion Wine he organises tours in France and around the world.
