Wines of the Pacific Northwest presented by Patricia Stefanowicz MW
In wine terms the Pacific Northwest States of the USA are Washington State, Oregon and Idaho. Washington State has a growing reputation for stylish aromatic varietals while Oregon is particularly noted for its Pinot Noir. As Oz Clarke has written : "Thirty years of pioneering winemaking has proven that Oregon can make some remarkable wines quite unlike anything that is being produced in California". Idaho is probably more famous for its potatoes.

Patricia Stefanowicz is a Master of Wine. As a qualified architect and engineer, she has also designed and supervised construction of wineries in North America, France, Italy and the UK.
As a wine educator she teaches on the Wine and Spirit Education Trust courses, lectures part-time in the Wine Studies Programmes at Plumpton College/University of Brighton, and also finds time to make white wine in northern Italy and the UK.
