South Africa - The Cape Winelands presented by Vivienne Franks
In the 350 years since Jan Van Riebeeck arrived first set up his fresh produce supply for the Dutch East India Company in the fertile land of the Cape, the quality of South African wine has improved beyond all recognition. The regional names of Stellenbosch, Constantia and Paarl have long been recognised but others such as Elgin and Walker Bay may be less familiar.
As a member of the Association of Wine Educators Vivienne Franks enjoys sharing her passion for wine and her travel experiences in wine regions such as South Africa with like minded people.
Among Vivienne’s selected wines will be: Klein Constantia Riesling 2003, Glen Carlou Pinot Noir 2002, Webersburg Cabernet Sauvignon 1997 and The Foundry Syrah 2001.
